What a difference a few months make...

Well it's been a few months since I last blogged and all for very lovely reasons. I had a fab work trip to Cape Town in May and spent a good few hours working from the bar of the Westin hotel during my stay. Offering superb service and a great bar menu, I would definitely recommend the Westin if you are travelling for work in Cape Town. The beautiful pool and Exec Club lounge on the 19th floor are a definite draw too.

With almost six months passing since I first blogged, life really does look a little different for me now in a very lovely way. When I wrote my first blog back in March, I was feeling a bit jaded with my status quo and I needed to break free from my four kitchen walls and go seize some opportunities. A certain special person entered my life in May and it's been a wonderful whirlwind ever since.

Although my priorities have changed, my love of all things 5 star has not and I look forward to exploring more remote working locations over the summer.

Today I'm back where it all began, in the very chilled Library of The Standard hotel. It's a Monday so pretty quite and relaxed in here. The background music is eclectic and perfect for me but could potentially be a little bit loud for anyone who likes silence whilst they work.

I decided to try the Applewood toastie again today and I'm still not sold. The flat whites are great though. I have a special work companion with me today so there's someone to watch my stuff when I need a comfort break.
